9. Staff. During the year, Mr. Purves was transferred temporarily to the engineering branch of the Public Works Department as an Assistant Engineer.

The undermentioned officers were absent on leave during the year, viz. :-

Mr. L. C. P. Rees 23 days sick leave and 1 day vacation leave.

Mr. B. W. Grey 10 days sick leave.

Mr. F. Sutton 2 days sick leave.

Mr. H. West 9 months and 23 days long leave.

Mr. W. A. J. Cooper 7 days sick leave and 16 days vacation leave.

Mr. F. W. Wood 16 days sick leave.

Mr. E. Larmour 5 days sick leave. Mr. A. Anderson 9 days sick leave.
