Acknowledgments.-Acknowledgments are here made to the Directors of Weather Services in the Far East, and the Chinese Maritime Customs authorities for daily observations and extra observations during typhoon weather; to the Telegraph Companies, for transmitting the observations free of charge; to the officers of the Company at Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Malate for making and transmitting observations twice daily; to the commanders of vessels who have furnished meteorological observations, and the Observatory staff for the manner in which they have carried out their respective duties. I have especially to thank Mr. W. L. Carter, Manager of the China and Japan Telephone Company, for his advice and assistance in the maintenance of the electrical apparatus of the Time Service.
