States that the extraordinary expendi- ture on the Malta Fever Commission, exclusive of the grant by the Royal Society, was £1,000 for last year: enquires what will be the probable duration of the enquiry and what will be the amount of the expenditure for the present year.

Acknowledges receipt of No. 113, and i concurs in the charge against the department of one-third of the expense in connection with the pro- poseil grant of £10 a month to Dr. Scicluna.
Suggests, in reply to No. 113 that any expense arising in consequence of niembers of the Fever Enquiry Com- mission being detached from their ordinary duties should be borne by the department concerned.
Submits, for favourable consideration, claim of Major Horrocks for the refund of passage money,
