2. In reply, I am to request you to inform the Senate that the Advisory Com- mittee for the Tropical Diseases Research Fund have recommended, and the Secretary of State has approved, the grant for 1914 of a sum of £100, in addition to the grant of £750 for the salary of the Professorship of Protozoology, but that no undertaking can be given that it will be possible to continue this grant in future
years.
3. The Crown Agents for the Colonies have been authorized to pay the amount to you on your application.
