The Opium and Chandu Enactment, 1910."
In exercise of the powers vested in them severally by Section 23 of “ The Opium and Chandu Enactment, 1910," the Residents of Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, and Pahang, with the approval of the Chief Secretary to Government, make for their respective States the following rules, to come into operation on the 11th day of May, 1912; and to be read from that date as part of the rules under the above Enactment, published as Gazette Notification No. 2790 in the Gazette of the 29th December, 1910, and in place of Rule 16 as printed in that Notification.
16. The maximum prices at which chandu may be sold by a licence-holder
shall be as follows:-

Government House, Sierra Leone, 17th March, 1913. WITH reference to your despatch "Miscellaneous," of the 19th July, 1912,* I have the honour to submit, in duplicate, for the signification of His Majesty's pleasure thereon, an authenticated transcript of an Ordinancet of the Legislature of this Colony, No. 4 of 1913, entitled “ An Ordinance to give effect to the measures decided upon in the International Opium Convention signed at the Hague on the 23rd day of January, 1912, and to regulate the importation into and the storage and disposal of opium, morphine, cocaine and similar drugs in the Colony and I'rotectorate," together with the Attorney-General's report thereon.

The Opium Ordinance, 1913. (No. 4 of 1913.)
I have the honour to report on the above Ordinance, which passed the Legislative Council on the 21st ultimo and may properly receive Your Excellency's assent.
2. The Ordinance substantially follows the draft Gold Coast Bill submitted
in the Secretary of State's despatch of the 19th July last, including in it the amend- ments directed in that despatch, the deviations from the draft Bill being in matters of form only.
3. The Ordinance is legal and in proper form, and I see no reason why His Majesty should be advised to exercise his power of disallowance in respect of it.
