Transmits copies of the Convention ; states that it is considered of great importance that all British dominions should be bound by the Convention, and trusts that, unless they have i strong objections to urge, their Gov- ernment will agree to the Convention being signed on their behalf, and that they (the Governors) will consider what steps are necessary to give effect
to it.
States that His Majesty's Government regard it as of great importance that the State of North Borneo should be bound by the terms of the Inter- national Opium Convention, and trusts that the Directors will agree to the Convention being signed on behalf of the State and will consider what further steps may be necessary to give effect to the Convention.
Transmite copies of the Convention :
states that it will be binding upon ¦ their Governments if and when rati- fied by His Majesty's Government, and requests them to consider what further steps it may be necessary to take to give effect to the Convention. ;

Reports that legislation is necessary in order to render effective the measures decided upon in the Convention, and that he proposes to model it upon the legislation of the United King dom.
Reports that his Government la prepared to agree to the Convention being signed on behalf of Malta.
Considers that the adherence of Somali- land is in every way desirable, and states that no further legislation is necessary.
States that there is no objection to the Convention being signed on behalf of Barbados, and that the steps necessary to give effect to the meastires decided upon are under consideration.
Agrees to the Convention being signel on behalf of the Protectorate; states that a Bill for an Opium Ordinance is being prepared.
Reports that Ministers desire to adhere to the International Opium Conven- tion, and that they are considering what steps are necessary to give effect to the policy laid down in the Convention.
Reports that he is advised that Bermuda should agree to the Convention being signed on behalf of the Colony, and that legislation will be deferred pend- ing action in other dependencies.
Reports that the Legislative Council have approved of the Colony being a party to the Convention; considers that no steps are necessary at present. Reports that his Government agree to the Convention being signed on its behalf; the question of the measures necessary to give local effect to the operation of the Convention are under consideration.
States, in reply to No. 4, that it will be unnecessary for his Government to take any action in respect to the Opium Convention, as the provisions contained in its articles are already in force in the Territory, so far as they can be made applicable to local conditions.
