I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your circular despatch of the 6th June last,* regarding the measures taken to eradicate malarial fever, and, in reply, to inform you that Dr. Hickin, the Medical Officer of this Government, to whom your despatch was referred for report, states that no endemic cases of malarial fever have as yet been recorded, and no mosquito capable of conveying malaria has so far been seen in this territory.
