Gibraltar, June 22, 1906. I HAVE the honour. to acknowledge the receipt of your Lordship's circular despatch of the 6th instant,* requesting to be furnished annually with information as to the measures taken to eradicate malarial fever, and the results as shown by the health statistics.
2. In reply I beg to state that as Gibraltar is believed to be fortunately exempt from malarial disease and without "Anopheles," no special measures are adopted to protect the population.

I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Lordship's circular despatch of the 6th instant, and to inform you, in reply, that there is no malarial or yellow fever in Malta, and that it has not yet been conclusively proved that Medi- terranean fever is a mosquito-borne disease.
2. The instructions contained in paragraphs 3 and 4 of your Lordship's despatch under reply have been noted, and will be acted upon in the event of any mosquito- borne diseases appearing in this Colony.
