Blackwater Fever expedition and states that it will now consist of Drs. Yorke and Barratt, and that due notice will be given of the date of departure.

Medical Research Work. Submits proposals for the establishment at Lagos of an Institute for all the British Administrations in West Africa, and trusts that the Government will be able to participate in the scheme in the manner proposed.

Dr. W. Yorke have been definitely appointed to take charge of the Expedition and will be ready to start after the middle of July: enquires as to the most suitable locality for the expedition to work in.

Telegram. (Rec. June 14.) Requests enquiry by telegraph as to the number of cases of fover in the Uganda, British Central Africa, and East Africa Protectorates during the last twelve months, with a view to selecting the destination of the expe- dition. Enquires number of cases of fever dealt with during the last twelve months.

Blackwater Fever Expedition. Reports that the Expedition will sail for Chinle on August 14, and enquires whether free passages could be obtained over the British Central Africa Railway and whether the Expedition could have the use of a laboratory in Blantyre, and free shooting permits.
