MY LORD,
Royal Courts of Justice, We were honoured with your Lordship's commands, signified in Mr. Wingfield's
17th June 1885. letter of the 13th instant, stating that with reference to our report of the 7th of March last, he was directed by your Lordship to transmit to us a copy of an Act passed by the Legislature of Barbados, and entitled “An Act to make valid the marriage of a man with the sister of a deceased wife," together with a copy of a report upon the Act by the Acting Attorney-General of the Colony.
That our opinion was requested as to whether Her Majesty might properly be advised not to disallow the Barbados Act.
