MY LORD,

Royal Courts of Justice, We were honoured with your Lordship's commands, signified in Mr. Bramston's

22nd May 1885. letter of the 16th instant, stating that he was directed by your Lordship to transmit to us a copy of a Despatch from the Governor of New Zealand, with its enclosures, requesting that Her Majesty would be pleased by Order in Council to direct that the Colonial Attornies Relief Act (20 & 21 Victoria, chapter 39,) might come into operation in that Colony.

That Mr. Bramston was to request that having regard to the Colonial Attornies Relief Act Amendment Act, 1884, we would favour your Lordship with our opinion whether Her Majesty might, on the documents thus before Her, proceed to prepare an Order in Council for the above purpose.

In obedience to your Lordship's commands we have the honour to

That we are of opinion that Her Majesty may now, on the documents before Her, proceed to issue an Order in Council for the purpose of directing that the Colonial Attornies Relief Act (20 & 21 Victoria, chapter 59.) may come into operation in the Colony of New Zealand.
