I have endeavoured in the above to avoid as much as possible an encroachment on that report, but, turn which way I will, I find myself confronted with 'something that has been said before, and am obliged, therefore, to admit that, as far as the trade of the New Territory, both existing and prospective, is concerned, I have no reliable information to lay before Your Excellency beyond that which Your Excellency already possesses.
