SIR ARTHUR SANDERS referred to a telegram from the Commanders-in-Chief, Far East reporting the need for a reinforcement of two fighter squadrons. He said that any fighter reinforcements for the Far East could only come out of Fighter Command and that there were a number of details which would have to be looked into before an answer to this telegram could be sent. For instance, the problem of "tropicalising" Hornet squadrons would have to be examined.
