The operators obviously need further training, especially in the new equipment which has ist been received, but they are keen and should be helped, not continually cursed. Remem- bor too that soon many of the operators will be IEP and Officers will not then be able to rely upon them to pass verbal Slidex messages. It is the Officer originator's duty and always has been.

At no time was the Signal Office informed that immediate despatches were to be sent over scon, with the result that "Immediate" for KO LOON was very often arriving in the Signal Office within five minutes of the DRS departure for Ede. Every effort should be made to warn the Signal Office of these facts in order to prevent wastage of DRS.
