I arrived in the Colony in Ang/97 with about £20.

My wife arrived here at the latter end of Dec. in the

same year with about £30 halonging to me. I took a

house at the Peak in March/98, and my rent was $50

per month. During part of the time I resided there, a

married couple stayed with me, and when they left, the

late Mr Stewart Harrison. I sold my lease to Stewart

Harrison, and also leased my furniture to him for 3

months. From Sep. 99 to Nat. 02 I resided at Relilios

Terrace, and paid a monthly rental of $50. During

nearly the whole of this time, I had different boarders

staying with me.

Towards the end of 100 my wife received ahout £70.

Her signature was witnessed by Mr A. J. May, who was

staying with me at the time. During /02 and /03 at.

different times, I borrowed $800 off her. These

a ounts would be paid in to my Cr in notes.
