care what he does. I am responsible to a certain extent as one of the Commissioners for a verbat im

report of this Commission.

I say it is not a true report, if this is allowed to stard. There is noone who is present here can swaar

that I said it.

Yes, I remembered distinctly when the question was brought up at the next Meeting. I was quite convinced in my own mind that there could be no reference to sulphate dicxide, in that particular case. If we nee the shorthand report is wrong, we correct it in a

later minute.

(To Hr Shelton Hooper) Having previously heard Dr

Pearse say chlorine

I suggested to Mr Hooper that it might have been very Fossible that he misused the word, because some other word had been used immediately in front. Dont we e 11 remember of caser a man is ex-itei ind you misuse a

word doesnt it happen to all of us.

(To Mr Hooper) I can quite understand you saying chlorine instead of sulphate dioxide

I dont think we can keep out that question and answer

from our shorthand notes, but let us correct them

later at a subsequent meeting.

Is that to go in to the Governor ?

I should send the whole thing in to the Governor. The Report that goes to the public will of course have to

be edited.

Shelton Hooper:- All these notes stand exactly, and ro in to the

and with our speeches, and explanation.
