Mr molten Hespert-
You told him he need net.
That is the whole point.
There is the crux of it. The aux of it is that the
Chairman of the Commission cannot rule a question of a
brother Commissioner out of order.
I did not rule your question out of order. The
question was put, and appears in the netes.
But for another Commissioner to tell a witness that he
need not answer it, - of course, but how could I
enforce it, in faqe of your decision.
Then I will go to see the Colonial Begretary, I will
go and see him tomorrow.
The other point is with regard to your question at
last Meeting, and there is a matter of opinion. Now,
when Dr Pearce was examined, it is that question. (page 1606, midway down the page). I maintain that I
did not use the word Chlorodina. I said Sulphate
Dioxide, and the answer to that would have been 32. When we were going through that, you objected to that
being altered.
I said put it in the next motes, but it has not
appeared in-the next notes following.
I put it to the Attorney General, and he said "certainly, if a witness says he did not say such a thing, or if a Commissioner says he did not use these words, and the answer does not agree with the words or
reputed words rather,
Why not put it now ?
Why not out it out ?
When you are talking quiokly, you may have had som8-
thing else in your mind. Han åt not happened to you ?
