watering contracté ?
Lo Man Mi
When I first joined the ganitary Department, I think
ham Iu was not the immediate limewashing contractor,
but a subcontractor. The limewashing work was then
given to the scavenging contractor, but after a time,
Sham Iu was the immediate limewashing contractor, and
Inspector Reidie made out the bills for limewashing.
The Chairman:-126 Can Sham Iu read English?

They were still paying $2.50. Now they only lime thos
floors infected with infectious diseases, other than
plague. That time when Inspector Reidie sent in bills
for limewashing for Sham Iu, Sham Iu came up to the
office and asked me whether Inspector Reidie had sent
in his bill for limewashing. I said yes, and he asked
me to let him see the bill, and he copied it from
Inspector Reidie's bills.
The Chairman:-74
Had Sham Iu not seen the bilim ?

I believe he had not, or he would not have asked me for
them.
