The Chairman - While Mr Woodcock is reading the last few pages of the notes

I would like to tell you that I have been numbering the ques

-tions so far as we have gone and the Secretary has checked

them and we are now agreed upon numbers up to the present. I

think it would save a lot of time if either my copy or the

Secretary's copy was sent round to you and you could number

your copies from ours. I find it is a very great convenience

and I am sure you will find it equally so.

I should like to ask in connection with this matter; I think

you say the only corrections that can be made are those that have been taken down wrongly and I was under the impression that an answer that had been given in perfect good faith but on consideration it appeared to be a wrong one, could be

corrected ?

It can't be corrected in the notes. You can ask permission to withdraw a statement already made, to correct it at a future interview. If you have made one statement at the meet -ing say on the 5th June you can't come forward at some later meeting and say I want to say something else. I will give you an instance. You said in reply to a question to you that

· certain Bills were sent in in English, I find now
