-sion that doubts arise in the minds of these Sanitary
Inspectors as to what constitutes a nuisance under Part III
of the Building Ordinance ?
I have got in my mind that if doubts arise - I don't say they do or not they do consult the Medical Officer of Health and the Medical Officer of Health at least once a
week goes round the district offices and is there to explain
to the district Insysctors. Sometimes he - I am referring to Dr Pearce now - has told me what he has been doing that forenoon or afternoon and he has said that one of the Ingred -tors, I baĺfeve he said Inspector Coralla had consulted him in regard to section 175 and be had told Inspector Ongelly that a nuisance notice could be issued calling upon then to open up a backyard provided that no ex-mption had been grant-
-ed by the Board, but he must first satisfi himself that
no exemption had hawb granted,
How many builling notices have you sent in the course of a
year, or say what perfod you like ?
A: I have the exact number here of building notices issued
