Constitutional changes in Hong Kong
To bring up to date the set of papers
you already have about the Constitution,
I now enclose for your information, copies
of the following telegrams:-
Telegram to Hong Kong No. 875 of 1st June.
Telegram from Hong Kong No.946 of 5th June.
Telegram to Hong Kong No.958 of 16th June.
Telegram to Hong Kong No.959 of 16th June.
I also enclose a copy of the final
draft of the despatch, which incorporates
various amendments made as a result of its
submission to the Secretary of State.
amendments are indicated in the draft. In
addition you will see that paragraph 3(a) of
the original draft has been omitted, in view
of the suggestion in paragraph 1(c) of our
telegram to Hong Kong No.959.
