elected to be a Commissioner, a situation that might int sfere with the smooth working of Departments. Would it not be possible or desirable to ber certain ex-Municipal employees from being Commissioners up to a certain point? The general feeling of the meeting was however, that such a bar would mean unnecessary interference with the sight of a rotervyur to recrosent his foll ratepayers. Also the possibility of an ex-Municipal Head of Department becoming an embarrassment to certain Municipal Heads of Department by sitting on the Commission could be offset by the possibility of his being a very efficient and helpful Commissioner on secount of his experience. the general feeling of the meeting was not in favour of such a bar, Mr. Bartley said he did not wish to move any motion. He merely brought the question up for discussion.
