you will bring the cost up to the same thing.

fr Shelton hooper:-

You will bring the bulk up to the same thing.

A.

The bulk will be brought up to more, because I would

recommend more than six inches of hardoors, about nine

inchos of hardcore, but if I might be allowed to correct

that price, I think it is a little low to say double.

For instance, a good lime concrete can be got here for

$3 a yard cube. It is very difficult to get it good,

and I dont think that aement concrete, going into it

carefully, could be got for $6. I should it would be

more likely $9, three times instead of twice, if I

might be allowed to correct that.

That mean four inches, instead of six inches ?

Mr Fung Wa Chun:-

A.

Yes.

37 Q.

And yet it would cost $9 ?

A.

17.337

38.

That is the price per yard cube.

Four inches ?

A.

Yo

r Shelton Hooper:-

17338

that has nothing to do with the thickness. That is

merely the price of the material.

19334

Now, coming back to lime concrete, do you not think it

is possible to make a floor of concrete, composed of

lime, that would he impervious to damp?

40

A.

મ.

No.

A.

And do you say that on account of the lime ageing 73

or on account of any of the other materials which are

used?

It is partly on account of the lime and partly on

account of the red eart, which is used.

17341

0.

Well, coming first to the lime, and what is generally

used is known as shell lime ?

A.

Yes.

4240

Now, is it not possible if care werd taken that you can

get shell line free from dirt ↑
