In conjunction with cement, certainly not.

Q.

Can you get a sufficiency of Band ?

17328

A.

I think we can, but sentimental objections exist in my

own mind also to the way in which sand is procured, but

that is rather beyond me.

L o

Q.

17321

It is rather an important point. If you make a suggest-

ion like that, we must be satisfied that a sufficiency

of sand is procurable.

A.

I think there is.

30

Q.

At a reasonable price?

17330

A.

At a reasonable price, to last us for years.

Q.

Can you give us any idea of the cost, as compared with

six inches of lime concrete as put on now ?

23 Q

I am not prepared to go into actual figures, but bulk

for bulk,

that concrets I describe would cost double

the price of lime concrete.

17332

You say bulk for bulk, but you cant take bulk for bulk

if you are only to have four 1:ches as against six,

and therefore it would be two thirs, and qui souble,

because you are taking the ouhe now instead of the

superficial,

I am not dealing with it as a ́substitute for line

flooring. I am dealing with it as a substitute for

lime material.

17333

But you said it would be double in bulk, but the cubical

contents of that material wouldnt be louble. It would

not amount toʻdouble, because it would not have the

sine bulk.

A.

No.

The Chairman:-

It would be 8% instead of 100% increase.

You вад, the only thing as Tegards the cost of 100 of

thi super, if you put in the hard material I recommend,
