Did you get a notice from the Sanitary Board ↑ Yes, we got a notice from the Sanitary Board asking us

to concrete the ground. Afterwards an Inspector and

Chinese Interpreter to our shop and said the Inspector

would come to see if the ground was proper or not.

Did you see these men when they came, or not?

I did not. Some of our fokis saw the men, and asked

them what they wanted, and they said "Well, you must

ask Lick Kee.

I was on the first floor, and I dont know. I may be

able to find it out.

If you can find out, let me know, or write to the Secretary of the Commission, and tell him the name of the men who saw the Inspector. What happened when the Inspector told your foki to go to Lick Kee ?

He asked Lick ree to come and examine the ground. Lick Kee sent one man; called Xok Hong Shun.
