About nine months ago, Sir. I went down to No 9 District and

about two months ago I transferred to No 10 District. The

reason of my transfer was that I am living down in Chater

Street and No 9 District is a long distance and I asked Dr

Pearce if he would allow me to transfer, At the time Inspec-

-tor Mackensie was transferred to Plague Inspector. I could

not get a house in No 9 District and he transferred me to

No 10 District and I am living in Chater Street, Kennedytown

Who are the senior Inspectors you have served under in theme 4002

various Districts ?

When I joined the Department first Mr. Carter, who is Acting

Assistant Sanitary Surveyor. I worked under him in that

Department first but Mr Carter being appointed Assistant

Sanitary Surveyor. Inspector Toolley, who was Plague Inspec-

-tor of Nos 5 and 6 Districts, also took over Mr Carter's

work as senior Inspector and I worked under him for about

six months I should say.

a month working under Inspector Reidio and I am at present

under Inspector Conolly.
