Airfield requirements for Tudor II Services.

A Survey Party led by Air Marshal Sir Frederick

Bowhill and including representatives of the Air Ministry and B.0.A.C. will shortly visit

to examine the suitability of existing aerodromes for the operation of Tudor II Services on the

trunk route. The terms of reference of the party include the examination of existing aerodromes

in consultation with A.C.S.E.A,

and the recommending of the most suitable aerodrome sites for future trunk route purposes; the determination of the additional works required including technical alde and ancillary buildings, their estimated capital cost, probable time of construction, and cost of upkeep. The party will also report on what priority work would be needed for the immediate reception of Tudor II aircraft.
