I might mention here in passing that I have been a resident for the past forty eight years in Hong Kong, and now being in my 73rd year I am unable to undertake any fresh business; besides as stated above all my investments have been in shares of different companies, and nothing invested in real estate or in any other investments in any other place except Hong Kong, from which I can derive any income.

Under the circumstances I most respectfully wish to request you, and shall feel highly grateful if you will be good enough to waive interest, (which amounts to a considerable sum) on my said overdrawn account as from 1st January 1942.

Trusting my humble request will meet with your sympathetic and favourable consideration, and for which I tender my sincere thanks in advance.

Re:

Scrips No. 1532/1542 for 1,700 shares in name of A. Morse and Y. T. Yoxall and

Scrip No. 1587 for 300 shares in name of The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, in your company.

This serves to inform you that the above 2,000 shares, held under the name of Mr. R.A. Dastur's nominees, were hypothecated by Mr. Dastur to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation against facilities granted by the said Bank to him.

In consideration of full payment having been made by the said Mr. Dastur, the above shares have been delivered to him and the said Bank has no further interest in them.

As Liquidators to the said Bank we have no objection to your transferring the above mentioned shares, all of which have blank Transfer Deed attached, into another name should Mr.Dastur apply to you in this connection.
