An Ordinance to provide for the restriction for a limited period of build-

ing works in the Mid-levels area of Hong Kong.

Epacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Temporary Restriction of Shon child and Building Developmeal (Mid-levels) Ordinance 1979 and shall be deemed come trupin L. to have come into operation at 12 noon on 22 May 1979.

2. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- Interpretation

"Building Authority" means the Director of Public Works;

“building plans" means plans of building works for or involving site formation, excavations, foundations, streal works or any works relat- ing thereto.

(2) The duty imposed on the Building Authority under this Ordinance may be carried out by any officer of the Public Works Department authorized by the Director of Public Works either generally or partic ularly and subject to his instructions.
