An Ordinance to amend the Prisons Ordinance.

Enacled by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof,

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Prisons (Amendment) Ordin. Saen uue and ance 1977 and shall come into operation on the 1st August 1977,

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

Amendment of Pecan 1.

(a) by inserting, after the definition of "Commissioner", the (Cap. 234.)

following-

""disciplinary offence" means a disciplinary offence prescribed

by rules made under section 25:"; and

(b) by deleting the definition of "senior officer" and substituting the

following-

“Menior officer" means the Commissioner, Deputy Commis- sioner, and any Assistant Commissioner, Senior Super- intendent, Superintendent, or Chief Officer;
