An Ordinance to amend the Pounds Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Short ude. Ordinance 1977.

2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 1 Addition of the following new section-

1A. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "Director" means the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Deputy Director of Agriculture and Fisheries and any Assistant Director of Agriculture and Fisheries; "officer" means—

(e) any officer of the Agriculture and Fisheries Deparl- ment authorized in writing for the purposes of this Ordinance by the Director; and

(b) any police officer.".
