PART I

PRELIMINARY

I. This Ordinance may be cited as the Aerial Ropeways (Safety) Short dike. Ordinance 1976.

In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "aerial ropeway" means any apparatus for the overhead transport of passengers or goods in carriers running along or drawn by overhead cables supported by towers, pylons" or other similar structures, together with any machinery, equipment or plant connected therewith; "Code" means the Code of Practice prescribed under section 5; "Director" means the Director of Public Works;
