Section 7 of the principal Ordinance repeated and replaced by the following-
"Duties of Fire Services IPG plurindacal
1. The duties of the Fire Services Department shall be to
(a) give advice on fire proteclion measures as occasion
requires;
(6) extinguish fires;
(c) protect life and property in case of fire or other
calamity:
(d) assist any person who appears to need prompt of
immediate medical attention by-
(1) securing his safety;
(15) resuscitating or sustaining his life;
(fi) reducing his suffering or distress;
(2) convey-
(1) any person referred to in paragraph (đ) to n hospital or other place where medical attention is available to him; and
(i) in co-operation with the proper authorities, any person to or from any hospital or clinic to ar from any other place, and administer care and attention to any person so conveyed;
() carry out such other duties as may be imposed on it by law or by any direction of the Governor; and (g) do any thing which is necessary or desirable to carry out effectively any duty which is specified in this section or imposed under paragraph "GA".
Section 8(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "Fourth" and substituting the following-
