An Ordinance to amend the Fire Services Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

E. This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Services (Amendment) Short title and Ordinance 1975 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed

by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by deleting the definition of "Colonial Regulations";

(b) in the definition of "fire hazard" by inserting in paragraph (e)

after "outside the building" the following......

"or using much means of egresa for a purpose which gives rise to any circumstance described in paragraph ()":

(c) by deleting the definition of "member" and substituting the

following

""member" means a person holding any rank in the Fire Seth Schedule. Services Department set out in the Sixth Schedule:"":

(d) by inserting after the definition of "member" the following new

definitions-

Sath Schedule.

***member of other ranks" means a member holding a rank

sel out in Perl III of the Sixth Schedule;

"occupier" means in the case of domestic buildings a person resident therein and in the case of other buildings means a person carrying on an occupation full-time in such building:"; and
