INDEMNITY
40. Every member of the council and overy officer or servant of the corporation shall be indemnified by the corporation against, and it shall be the duty of the corporation out of the funds of the corporation to pay, all costs, losses and expenses which any such member, officer or servant may incur or become liable to by reason of any contract entered into or act or deed done as such member, officer or servant or in any way in tha discharge of his or her duties and in connexion with which such member, officer, or servant has not been guilty of any negligence, default, breach of trust or breach of duty whatsoever.".
Passed by the Hong Kong Legislative Council this 27th day of November, 1974.
