Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended

to indicate their general purport).

These regulations introduce into the principal regulations the form

of a school attendance order which the Director may serve upon the parent of a child under asction 74 of the Education Ordinance 1971.

EDUCATION ORDINANCE 1971.

(No. 52 of 1971).

EDUCATION (EXEMPTION) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 1971.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9(3) of the Education Ordinance 1971, the Governor in Council has made the following order—

1. This order may be cited as the Education (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 1971 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. The principal order is amended by deleting paragraph 2 and substituting the following-

2. Every school which is carried on in any vessel shall be exempt from the provisions of section 11(b)(1) of the Education Ordinance 1971 and of Part II of the Education Regulations 1971, other than regulation 5, regulation 9(1) and (2) and regulation 10. so long as such school complies with the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.".
