MEDICAL REGISTRATION ORDINANCE. (Chapter 161).

MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS (REGISTRATION AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1971.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 33 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1.

These regulations may be cited as the Medical Practi- tioners (Registration and Disciplinary Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations 1971.

The principal regulations are amended by deleting regula- tion 3 and substituting the following-

The register shall be-

(a) in accordance with Form 1 in the First Schedule, in the case of a medical practi- tioner resident in Hong Kong: or

(b) in accordance with Form 1A in the First Schedule, in the case of a medical practi- tioner resident outside Hong Kong.

or as near thereto as shall be convenient".

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations is amended-

(a) by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the follow-

ing-

“(1) An application for registration shall be

(a) if the applicant is resident in Hong Kong-

(i) in accordance with Form 3 of the First Schedule: and

(ii) completed in the presence of a barrister- at-law, commissioner for oaths, justice of the peace, minister of religion, registered medical practitioner or solicitor: or
