(Chapter 199).

HONG KONG AUXILIARY AIR FORCE (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1969.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Royal Hong Kong Defence Force Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1. These regulations may be cited as the Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force (Amendment) Regulations 1969.

2. Regulation 7 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "beyond the age laid down in paragraph (1) of regula- tion 13" and substituting the following-

"beyond the age to which the officer is permitted to serve by virtue of paragraph (1) of regulation 13,".

Regulation 13 of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (1)—–—

(a) by deleting the full stop after "45 years" and substituting

a colon; and

(b) by inserting at the end thereof the following-

"Provided that the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Service Commander, permit an officer to serve beyond the age prescribed fr such longer period as the Governor may think ".

Explanatory Note.

(This Note le not part of the regulations, but is intended ro indicate their general purport).

These regulations amend the principal regulations so as to provide that the Governor may at his discretion permit an officer to serve beyond the usual ages prescribed for retirement in regulation 13(1) of the principal regulations.
