and shall be eligible for re-election for a further period of one year. They may resign by written notice addressed to the Secretary of the Senate."; and (e) by deleting paragraph 5 and substituting the following-
**5. The quorum of the Senate shall be the smallest number which is not less than one-quarter of the number of members for the time being.". Statute XXVI of the principal Statutes is amended in sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph I by deleting "and Lecturers" and substituting the following-
4.
"Lecturers, and Assistant Lecturers".
5. Statute XXVIII of the principal Statutes is amended by deleting sub-sub-paragraph (c) of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 1 and substituting the following-
*(c) graduates of the University registered in accordance
with regulations made by the Council".

PENICILLIN ORDINANCE.
(Chapter 137),
PENICILLIN (PENICILLIN AND OTHER SUBSTANCES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1969.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Penicillin Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations---
1.
These regulations may be cited 29 the Penicillin (Penicillin and other Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 1969.
2. Regulation 1 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "Penicillin (Penicillin and other Substances)" and sub- stituting therefor the following-
"Antibiotics".
3. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following-
"Applica- tion of Ordinance. Schedule
2. The Ordinance shall apply to the substances specified and defined in the Schedule and to their salts and their derivatives and to the salts of such derivatives regardless of the method of production.”. The Schedule to the principal regulations is amended adding, at the end thereof, the following new item-- *33. Framycetin An antibiotic agent__irotâted from st
Streptomyces.".

These regulations amend the principal regulations in three ways, namely...
(a) by amending the cliation of the principel regulations consequent
upon the amendment of the short title of the Ordinance;
(b) by specifying more precisely the substances to which the Ordin-
ance applies; and
(e) by adding a further substance to the Schedule of antiblotics to
which the Ordinance will apply.
