STATUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG (AMENDMENT) STATUTES 1970.

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of sec- tion 13 of the University of Hong Kong Ordinance, the Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong has made the following statutes-

1. These Statutes may be cited as the Statutes of the Univer- sity of Hong Kong (Amendment) Statutes 1970.

Citation.

Statute III of the principal Statutes is amended-

(d)

in paragraph 2 by deleting sub-paragraph (6) and sub- stituting the following-

"(b) Diploma in Social Work-Dip.Soc.Wk”; and (6) in paragraph 4 by inserting after "proceed to any degree"

the following-

"except an aegrotat degree",

3. Stawte VI of the principal Statutes is amended in para- graph 4—

(a) by inserting after "Department," the following--

"as Director of a Centre or Unit.": and

(b) by inserting at the end thereof the following-

"The person so appointed may exercise all or any of the powers, perform all or any of the duties and have such of the privileges of the holder of the post to which he is appointed to act as the Vice- Chancellor may determine.”.

Statute XVIII of the principal Statutes is amended- (a) in paragraph 1-

(f) by inserting after sub-paragraph (f) the following new sub-paragraph-

*(fa) Dean of Students;";

(H) by deleting sub-paragraph (h) and substituting the following-

"(k) four persons elected by the Court not being

officers or teachers;"; and
