MERCHANT SHIPPING ORDINANCE.
(Chapter 281).
MERCHANT SHIPPING (SMALL CRAFT) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1970,
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 105 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Small Craft) (Amendment) Regulations 1970,
1. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended- (u) by deleting the following from the paragraph headed
"Class II"-
"anywhere within the waters of the Colony"; and
(5) by deleting the following from the paragraph headed
"Class IV"
"plying anywhere in the waters of the Colony".
Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended- (a) in paragraph (4)-
3.
(i) by deleting sub-paragraph (b); and
(ii) by inserting the following in sub-paragraph (c) after "for"
"Class II.": and
(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (6)—–— *(7) The Director shall maintain a register of all vessels licensed under this regulation and shall record in the register the particulars of every such vessel and the owners thereof.".
4.
The principal regulations are amended by adding the following new regulations after regulation 3-
"Applicant

owner and his agent (if any).
3A. (1) An applicant for the issue of a licence under regulation 3 shall declare in writing-
(a) the name and address of the owner of the vessel in respect of which the application is made: and
