Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended

to indicate their general purport).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 3 of the principal regulations in two respects. Firstly it replaces the reference to mentally defective persons by one to mentally subnormal persons. Secondly Part V of the register of nurses, which listed nurses qualified in the nursing and care of persons suffering from infectious discases, is deleted,

2. Regulation 3 replaces regulation 11 of the principal regulations, which deals with the minimum educational standard required to commence training 21 a Ouze,

3. Regulation 4 revokes regulation 12 of the principal regulations, which sets out for the minimum training qualifications for candidates for the preliminary examination, since this examination is no longer held.

4. Regulation 5 replaces regulation 13 and prescribes the minimum training qualifications of candidates for the revised examination which is now bald by the Nursing Board,

$. Regulation 6 sels out general provisions governing examinations held by the Board.

6. Regulation 7 deals with the investigation of complaints against registered purses by the Preliminary Investigation Committee.

The new regulation 16 establishes the Committee and provides for its membarahip.

The new regulation 17 provides for the submission of complaints about a registered nurse to the chairman of the Committee.

The new regulation 17A sets out the procedure to be followed when a complaint of unprofessional conduct by a registered nurse is received by the chairman of the Committee.

The new regulation 178 deals with the reference of a complaint to

the Committee for ju sonsideration.

The new regulation 18 provides for the consideration by members of the Committee of complaints referred to them.

The above-mentioned regulations follow closely similar provisions in the Medical Practitioners (Registration and Disciplinary Procedure) Regula- tions (Chapter 161, Subsidiary Legistation),

T. Regulation & enables the Nursing Board, when making a dia- ciplinary order against any registered nurse after the bearing of a complaint against him referred to it by the Preliminary Investigation Committee, to be advised of any other disciplinary order made by the Board against the registered nurse under section 11 of the Ordinance.

Regulation 9 amends the fees payable by candidates for examina- tion and re-examination by the Nursing Board,

五、本規例第六歌對該委員會所髒髒之考試加以一般性之規定。

六、本規例第七鼋規定凡册麵上之投訴均由初步調查委員會加以調查。

騏闖委員會保根據新盯提例第十六䭾而組成,能歇對拥查委員會之委員 人選問題,如以規定。

新訂規例第十七款規定凡對球册護士之採牌必須品交調查員會主席

新訂規例第十七甲歐對於該調查委員前主席在接關於註明 度

之批訴時所應術之程序加以規定。

新霞說例第十七乙款規定將有關之批訴提交該調查委員會考慮

新訂規例第十八款規定該調查員會之委員對所提交之投訴都以一口

上述規例乃保仿照醫師(注册及懲裁程)規例(香港法例第一六一章附屬 法例)所載之同業規定而制力口

本規例第八款規定,士管理委員會在聆訊由初步调查委員會所提交有 關注册髏士之投訴後而對我蝨册曩士頒發意波令時,應躍知政委員會前此根據原有 榮的第十一賭對戰註册護士所西之其他戒婚
