NURSES (REGISTRATION AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1970.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Nurses Registration Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1.

These regulations may be cited as the Nurses (Registration and Disciplinary Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations 1970.

2. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (2)

(a) by deleting "defective;" from sub-paragraph (c) and sub-

stituting the following-

"subaormal; and":

(8) by deleting "; and" at the end of sub-paragraph (d) and

substituting therefor a full stop, and

(c) by deleting sub-paragraph (e),

Regulation II of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following-

11. No person shall be eligible to commence any course of training under these regulations unless he possesses a Hong Kong School Certificate or equiv. alent academic qualifications with grades or credits in such subjects as the Board may, from time to time, specify.".

4. Regulation 12 of the principal regulations is revoked.

5. Regulation 13 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following-

13. No person shall be entitled to enter for any examination under these regulations unless he sat- isfies the Board—

(a) that he has undergone systematic instruc- tion in each of the subjects prescribed for such examination; and

(b) that he has completed, or is due to complete by the last day of the month in which such
