of section 8.
Addition of
new section
23A
3. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting the following new subsection after subsection (3)—
"(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in subsection (1), no licence shall be required under that subsection in respect of-
(a) any sound broadcast receiving apparatus; or
(5) any material or component part of such sound broad-
cast receiving apparatus.".
4. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 23, the following new section—
"Penalty
23A. Any person who, without the consent of

on sound
broadcast receiving apparatus.
(a) sells; or
(b) offers for sale; or
(c) publishes or reproduces for reward, any message or information, or the sense or meaning of any message or information received by him or by any other person by means of a sound broadcast receiving apparatus shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months."
This printed impression has been carefully compared by me with the Bill which passed the Legislative Council on the 10th day of January. 1968, and is found by me to be a true and correctly printed copy of the said Bill.

An Ordinance to amend the Mental Health Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof,
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Mental Health (Amendment) Ordinance 1968.
2. Section 29 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (e)---

"(ee) upon remand by a court or magistrate under section 51 for the purposes of observation, investigation and treatment; or“.
Section 51 of the principal Ordinance is amended- (a) by deleting subsection (1) and substituting therefor the
following-
