Amendment of rule 11.
Cap. 279, muti. Kaur 1
COUNCIL CHAMBER,
Clerk of Councils.
21st May 1969.
Explanatory Note.
(This Noje ir not part of the mudes, but is intended to indicate their general purport),
Sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph (1) of rule 13 of the principal rules require a minimum of ten years continuous contributory service by a teacher to the subsidized provident fund established by rule 3 of the principal rules before he becomes entitled to full payments from that fund, including Government donations and dividends.
I was intended that serving teachers who were over the age of fifty years at the date the rules came into operation on the 29th September 1961 should qualify for these payments, but the sub-paragraphs referred to, in their present form, do not permit this. The purpose of this amend- ment is to substitute the correct date namely, the 1st September 1971 and thereby enable those teachers to quality for full payments as originally intended.
