Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Mercantile Bank Note Issue (Amendment) Ordinance 1967.

2 Section 2 of the Mercantile Bank Note Issue Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended by the deletion from the definition "company" of the words "whose chicf office is in" and the substitution therefor of the following- "incorporated in the United Kingdom and having its registered office at".

3. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion from subsection (3) of the words "The total amount of such notes actually in circulation shall not at any time exceed the
