Repeal and replacement

of section 4.

Amendment

(iii) by the deletion in paragraph (ɗ) of “certified" wherever it occurs therein and the substitution therefor of the follow- ing-

"registered":

(d) in subsection (4), by the deletion of "the home" in both places where it occurs therein and the substitution therefor in each case of the following→→

"the hospital or maternity home";

(e) in subsection (5). by the deletion of *(2)" and the substitution

therefor of the following-

**(2A)"; and

(f) by the insertion of the following new subsection-

"(6) (a) Any person registered in respect of a hospital or maternity home who is aggrieved by a condition imposed by the Director under subsection (3) may appeal by way of petition to the Governor in Council. (b) On any such appeal, the Governor in Council may confirm, vary or reverse the decision of the Director.",

7. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-

"Cancellation 4. Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, the Director may at any time cancel the registration of a person

tration.

in respect of any hospital or maternity home-

(a) on any ground which would entitle him to refuse an application for the registration of that person in respect of that hospital or maternity home; (b) in the event of a contravention of any condition imposed by the Director under subsection (3) af section 3: or

(c) if such person, or any other person, has been convicted of an offence against this Ordinance in respect of the hospital or maternity home.".

8. Section 5 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the

9. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of "nursing home" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"a hospital".

10. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is repealed.

11. Section 9 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment deletion, in subsection (1), of "two hundred and fifty" and the sub- of section 9. stitution therefor of the following-

"one thousand".

12. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is deleted.
