Amendment

of section 5B.

Crown, shall be remunerated at such rate as the Governor may determine from time to time or in any particular case.".

Section 5B of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by the insertion, after subsection (2), of the following new

subsection-

“(2A) On an inquiry under this section, a dis- ciplinary board may make such order as the board thinks fit with regard to the payment of the costs of the inquiry or with regard to the payment of the costs of the Building Authority or of the authorized architect in respect of whom the inquiry is held."; and

(b) by the insertion in subsection (3), after paragraph (6), of the

following new paragraph-

"(c) The decision of the judge shall be foal.”. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended--

by the deletion of subsection (4) and the substitution therefor of the following new subsection-

"(4) The chairman of any such disciplinary board shall be the legal adviser appointed to the board in accordance with paragraph (d) of subsection (2) or in accordance with paragraph (d) of subsection (3) as the case may be."; and

(b) by the insertion, after subsection (5), of the following new

subsection-

"(6) The members of any disciplinary board ap- pointed under this section, other than persons who are in full-time employment in any office of emokument under the Crown, shall be remunerated at such rate as the Governor may determine from time to time or in any particular case.”.

Section 8B of the principal Ordinance is amended by the of section 88. insertion, after subsection (2), of the following new subsection-

"(2A) On an inquiry under this section, a disciplinary board may make such order as the board thinks fit with regard to the payment of the costs of the inquiry or with regard to the payment of the costs of the Building Authority or of the contractor, lift contractor or escalator contractor in respect of whom the inquiry is held.".

fr Section 12 of the principal Ordinance is amended in sub- section (6)—

(a) by the deletion, at the end of paragraph (c), of “ar":

(b) by the deletion, at the end of paragraph (d), of the full stop

and the substitution therefor of the following--

*; or"; and

(c) by the insertion, after paragraph (d), of the following now

paragraph-

"{e) in the case of a building to which by regulations a supply of water is required to be connected for any purpose, the Building Authority is not satisfied that connexion of a supply of water for every such pur- pose, which complies in every respect with all the requirements of the regulations, has been made to the building.".

Section 15 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment deletion, in subsection (1), of "such requirements are to be complied of section 15, with" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"the demolition, removal, alteration or work required by such order shall be commenced and the time within which the same shall be completed".

Section 17 of the principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by the deletion, in paragraph (g) of subsection (2), of "such requirements are to be complied with" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"the demolition, shoring, erection of fencing or hoarding, closure or other work or thing required by such order shall be commenced and the time within which the same shall be completed"; and

(6) by the deletion, in subsection (3), of "Where the owner of a dangerous building" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"Where the owner of a building which in the opinion of the Building Authority has been rendered dangerous or liable to become dangerous by fire, wind, rain, dilapida- tion, use, lack of fire escapes or any other cause,”.

Amendment of section 17.

9. Section 26 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment insertion in subsection (1), after paragraph (d), of the following now of section 26. paragraph-

"(dd) the supply of water to buildings for all purposes, including the connexion thereof to buildings and the arrangement, size, construction and type of piping therefor and the power
