(2) In the event of spillage of any radioactive substance in any affected undertaking or affected industrial undertaking, the proprietor of such undertaking shall immediately order the removal of all persons from the workplace affected; and shall so soon as may be thereafter cause the area to be cleansed by a wel method under the supervision of such person as the Authority may designate for the purpose; and until the workplace has been cleansed to the satisfaction of the person so designated and such person bas so certified in writing, the proprietor shall permit only such persons as may be required to effect the cleansing to enter the workplace.
(3) In the event of loss of any radioactive substance in any affected undertaking or affected industrial undertaking, the Authority may take such steps as he considers necessary and practicable for the protection of any person who might suffer injury as a result of the loss.
(4) In the event of any other occurrence of the nature described in paragraph (1) in any affected undertaking or affected industrial under- taking, the proprietor of such undertaking shall take such remedial action as the Authority may direct.
(5) Any proprietor of any affected undertaking or affected indus. trial undertaking who fails to comply with any of the provisions of paragraph (1) or (2) or who fails to comply with any direction given by the Authority pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (4), and any carrier who fails to comply with any of the provisions of paragraph (3). shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a finc of five thousand dollars.

PART VIL
TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS.
33. (1) Nothing contained in paragraph (1) of regulation 11 shall be construed to affect the employment of any person employed in any affected undertaking or affected industrial undertaking at the date of the commencement of these regulations,
(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1) of regulation 12, where any person is employed in any affected undertaking or affected industrial undertaking at the date of the commencement of these regulations the period of fourteen months referred to in that paragraph shall be deemed
to run with effect from such date.
(3) No person shall be convicted of any offence against any of the provisions of regulation 10 which occurs within a period of three months after the date of the commencement of these regulations,
