Repeal and replacement of section 4.
Amendment of Schedule.
Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
by the deletion of the definition "ferry service" and the sub- stitution therefor of the following-
"ferry service" means the ferry services authorized by
section 4:"; and
(6) by the deletion of the definition "piers”.
4.
Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-
**Particulars of ferry services. Schedule,
4. The ferry services authorized by this Ordinance are the services described in the Schedule. Such services, shall be maintained and operated on the terms and condi. tions specified in the Schedule.".
6. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by the deletion of paragraphs 1 and 2 and the substitution
therefor of the following—

1. (1) The ferry services authorized shall
(a) a service conducted by the Company for the carriage of persons and their luggage between the pier situated immediately to the west of Queen's Pier in Victoria and the Star Ferry pier at Kowloon Point for the period of fifteen years commencing on the 1st day of January, 1950 and for the further periods authorized upon exercise of the right of renewal granted by para- graph 19; and
(b) a service conducted by the Company for the carriage of persons and their luggage between the pier situated immediately to the west of Queen's Pier in Victoria and Berth No. 3 of the Hung Hom Reclama- tion for a period of fifteen mouths from the 1st day of June, 1965, and thereafter for such periods as Government may permit on the written request of the Company.
(2) The Company may at any time during the continuance of the service specified in sub-para- graph (1)(5) give notice in writing that such service is to become part of the concession, and it shall

thereupon become part of the concession and con- tinue for the same period and subject to the same right of renewal as the service specified in sub-para- graph (1)α).
2. (1) The Company shall use for the purpose of the ferry services the piers and berth specified in sub-paragraphs (1)(α) and (1)(6) of paragraph 1 (bereinafter referred to as the piers. which term shall include any pier substituted under the proviso to this sab-paragraph):
Provided that if the Governor in Council decides at any time to substitute another pier with- in the frontages the Company shall be bound to use such other pier on terms to be agreed or failing agreement on terms to be determined by arbitration. (2) The frontages referred to in sub-paragraph (1) are

the The seafront from boundary of the new Blake Pier to the western boundary of the Victoria Naval Basin.
In Kowloon: At Kowloon Point, the seafront from the southern boundary of Kowloon Marine Lot No. 10 to the western boundary of the property known as "Holts Wharf"".
At Hung Hom, the seafront from the southern extremity of Whampoa Street to the eastern boundary of the property known as "Holts Wharf". (3) In the event of the service specified in sub- paragraph (1)(6) of paragraph I ceasing or in the event of a pier being substituted for Berth No. 3 of the Hung Hom Reclamation under the proviso to sub-paragraph (1) Government may require--
(a) the Company to remove all pontoons and marine works and all the fixtures, fittings and buildings to ground level; or
(b) the Company to sell to the Government the said pontoons, fixtures, fittings and buildings for and in consideration of the then salvage value of the same to the Company without say addition in respect
